Basic Ballet Clothing    

When you first begin ballet, there are several items that you will need to purchase in order to outfit your body for the dance. Here are a few basic things you will need:

Leotards -- these are your basic body wear and they are very comfortable to dance in. We have them in many different styles and colors. We have them in short sleeve and sleeveless, and in different colors with sizes for children and adults.

Tutus, dresses, skirts -- for some performances, you will need special clothing and you can buy ballet clothing in many different styles and colors. We have tutus in popular colors like red, purple, pink and yellow with body wrappers to match. Also available are long or short dresses and skirts for special occasions like recitals. Talk to us about any special needs because we may have something that will work nicely.

Miscellaneous dance clothing -- if you are doing a particular dance style like jazz, hip-hop or gymnastics, we do have some of this clothing in stock. When you or your child becomes a part of the world of ballet, you will find that accessories can be important to making sure that the body stays warm. They can also be important to certain types of dance. Whether you buy a tutu or other ballet accessories, you will find something you can use in our pages. Here are some ideas:

Hair Clips -- hair is important to ballet in that it is usually worn in a bun. We have stylish hair clips that can help you make a bun without hassle and they come in different sizes and colors. We also have tiaras to fit just the right costume and for any occasion where you want to celebrate.

Ponytail holders -- sometimes, you will be able to wear your hair in a ponytail and a holder works better than a rubber band and it is easier on your hair. We have an assortment of these in several shapes and sizes.

Foot accessories -- when you buy ballet accessories, it is important to also think about your feet because they are now important to what you are doing. We have toe separators, lambs wool and other soft materials that you can place between your toes in order to make them more comfortable. These are usually used by dancers who are learning en pointe while they are helping their toes become comfortable with this move.
